POOL provides a “traditional” central laboratory service in support of all phases of drug development including pre-clinical through clinical phases I to IV on either a national or global scale. Our accredited laboratory in Southampton analyses over 3000 sets of samples per day and provides a full routine analytical service 24/7.

All aspects of our service are customised to both client and study requirements to ensure optimisation of service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Services Include:

• Investigator site training and participation at investigator meetings
• Provision of study supplies including visit specific sampling kits and request forms.
• Courier management of sample transport, both ambient and frozen, to ensure compliance with scheduling and sample integrity.
• Study database set-up, customised to protocol & CRF/EDC terminologies, test order, exclusion/inclusion flags, parameter alert flags, standard comments and patient study ID demographics.
• Dedicated project management and study administration team appointed to ensure good communication between the lab, site personnel and client project managers & CRAs.
• Rapid analysis of routine parameters, analysed on day of receipt and reports issued immediately in completion.
• Lab reports, issued in both e-mail version and as multi-part NCR paper report, and results can be securely viewed through our web interface spOn-Line™.
• Full paper and electronic archive compliant with 21CFR part 11.
• All procedures and processes fully documented by Standard Operating Procedures.
• Full QA & QC programs maintained.
• All staff GCP trained.
